AYDEN'S UPDATES

Ayden's family wanted to keep a blog for family members and friends to be able to have the latest status of his progression at the hospital. On August 1st, the family was out in the yard and soon noticed Ayden was missing and was discovered by Aubrey in the above ground pool. Caryn pulled him out and was able to resuscitate him thru CPR and he had a pulse and was breathing as the medics took him away in the ambulance to the hospital. He is currently at St. Lukes downtown Boise. We will try to update on a daily basis or as something significant happens. We also are so very thankful to everyone for your love, prayers, fasting and all the support you have given to the Rich family and extended family at this time.

Thursday evening


Ayden ended up having the procedure called Bronch Laser where they put a scope into his throat to check for scar tissue. Dr. Beck found scar tissue and removed it. The good thing is that he didn't have to be intubated or have a feeding tube. So now he is recovering and is pretty uncomfortable. Caryn did say she noticed a difference in his voice right away, it isn't sounding as hoarse, so this is good. Dr. Beck did say that there is a 50/50 chance that he might have to have this procedure again since the scar tissue could return. So we are hoping he heals better this time.
